Beckman Scholars Application 

Program eligibility criteria and application components are below. Students targeting Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. programs who do not have prior research experience are especially welcome to apply.

Program Eligibility

• Undergraduate Oklahoma State University student
• Full-time enrollment throughout the duration of the award
• Good academic standing
• Enrolled in a degree program within one of these OSU departments:
  • Chemistry
  • Integrative Biology
  • Microbiology and Molecular Genetics
  • Physics
• U.S. Citizen,  or Permanent Resident, or DACA recipient.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Plans to pursue PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree; or other scientific path

The selection committee will apply a holistic review

of all eligible applicants.

Process and Timeline

• Application review will begin after the deadline on February 19, 2024.
• Applicants who are selected for the interview round will be notified in March. 
• Interviews will take place in late March.
• The 2024-2025 OSU Beckman Scholars will be announced in April.
