About the Speaker
Amanda Foster, M.S., CCC-SLP, CLC, earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
from Massachusetts General Hospital IHP in 2003. With over 18 years of experience,
she has served children with diverse diagnoses in various settings, including schools,
clinics, hospitals, and early intervention programs.
In 2005, Mrs. Foster embarked on her feeding career at Toomey & Associates, Inc. before
transitioning to the SOS Feeding Solutions @ STAR, where she collaborated with Dr.
Kay Toomey and Dr. Lucy Jane Miller. Her journey continued in 2010 when she initiated
her private practice. This venture emphasized offering feeding support for families
at home and in community settings.
In 2014, Mrs. Foster moved back to Oklahoma and began developing a pediatric feeding
program at a local multidisciplinary clinic. She currently focuses her time on consulting
with schools and clinics in expanding feeding services and mentoring teachers and
therapists in developing skills in pediatric feeding.
Mrs. Foster actively shares her insights on pediatric feeding at various platforms,
such as The SOS Approach to Feeding, local colleges, parent meetings, and numerous
professional seminars. Her commitment to enhancing feeding support remains unwavering,
evident in her extensive, multifaceted work.
Financial Disclosure Statement
Amanda Foster is the speaker and instructor for the Cimarron Conference for Communication
Disorders on March 29, 2024. Mrs. Foster will be paid for providing her speaking services
and intellectual handout materials by the Department of Communication Sciences and
Disorders at Oklahoma State University – Stillwater campus. Travel accommodations
were not provided by the university.

the SOS Approach to Feeding.
