OSU Jazz Festival

This year's OSU Jazz Festival will take place on Monday, April 15, 2024 at the OSU Student Union and McKnight Center for the Performing Arts.

The OSU Jazz Festival will include opportunities for high school ensembles to perform and receive feedback from some of the region’s top jazz educators. This year’s festival guest artist, Terell Stafford will be featured performing with the OSU Jazz Orchestra at the 7:30pm performance in the McKnight Center for the Performing Arts (Performance Hall).

To register your high school and/or middle school jazz groups, complete the jazz festival registration form and return it (with check) to the address listed on the form. Discounts for registering early and/or bringing three or more ensembles are detailed on the registration form. Bands must bring their own equipment (e.g., keyboards, amps, drums, etc.). Each competition room will have: music stands, chairs, three solo mic’s, power strip, and risers. School buses should unload gear at the loading dock on the east side of the OSU Student Union (OSU campus map) and then park in lot 120. The “Orange Route” will pick your driver up at lot 120 and then drop you off at the Student Union (approx 15 minute ride). The “Orange Route” goes back and forth to lot 120 until 6:30pm when the “Gold Route” takes over that route. Click here for a detailed map of the OSU bus routes.

Ticket prices are $12 general admission and $7 for senior citizens and students for the evening concert. Be sure to indicate your desired number of tickets for the evening concert on the jazz festival registration form.

This event is made possible by the generous funding of the OSU President’s Office and the Fae Rawdon Norris Endowment for the Humanities.
