The Department of English offers students the skills to read critically, think widely, and communicate persuasively. As an English major, minor, or certificate student, you will enjoy small class sizes in lecture and discussion courses, have the opportunity to participate in writers’ workshops and internships, and the ability to choose from a wide array of course offerings like Women’s Literature, Fantasy Fiction, History of Film, Teaching English as a Second Language, Style and Editing, Professional Writing, and Fiction Writing.
