CAS/McKnight Summer in South Africa
Travel dates: May 12 - 25, 2025.
This course is part of the McKnight Scholars Leadership Program, and is available
only to students who are McKnight Scholars.
Arts and Sciences is partnering with the Hargis Leadership Institute to offer the
McKnight Scholars study abroad program in South Africa! Students will visit sites
in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Kruger National Park. Students will begin developing
a global leadership mindset, and engage with culturally diverse perspectives on ethical
leadership. During the course, students will encounter examples of ethical leadership
in the areas of government, history, art, literature, education, culture, international
relations, diversity, and service in international contexts
** CAS study abroad will be enforcing COVID vaccination and/or testing requirements based on the regulations
of the country of designation. Please note the situation and requirements in other
countries can fluctuate over time.
