Dr. J. Leroy Folks was named as 2015 CAS Distinguished Alumnus. Dr. Folks completed his M.S. in Statistics in 1955 and his doctorate at Iowa State University. He returned to OSU in 1961 as a faculty member. In 1973 he became the head of the department. Dr. Folks was department head until 1994. He retired from OSU in 1998. 

Dr. Robert Easterling was named Distinguished Alumnus in 2016. 

In addition to being the Distinguished Alumnus for the Department of Statistics in 2017, CAS inducted Dr. Gaute Vik into the College of Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame, the college's highest honor for alumni.

Dr. Linda Young was the Distinguished Alumnus for 2018 and was also inducted into the College of Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame.

In 2019, Alex Bagby was named Distinguished Alumnus for the Department of Statistics.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CAS Hall of Fame ceremony was not held in 2020.

In 2021,  Dr. Tim Coburn was celebrated as the department's Distinguished Alumnus. 

Dr. Laura Coombs (Ph.D. 1999) was the Distinguished Alumnus for 2022. 

Tanya Johnson (MS 1976) was the Distinguished Alumnus for 2023. 

Scott Kegler (PhD 1999) was named the Distinguised Alumnus for 2024. Scott was unable to attend the ceremony so no picture is available.
