Hi, my name is Cassie Bauer. I am a sophomore at OSU, majoring in Biology pre-medicine with a minor in English. I'm currently working with Dr. Kaipa and her amazing research lab on the Communication of Children During the Pandemic. I joined the lab during my freshman year as a part of the Freshman Research Scholars program and decided to continue working with them, gathering data and gaining experience. After undergrad, I plan to attend medical school and become a Gastroenterologist. I'm excited to work with the lab again and hopefully make a difference through our research.

Addison Imler, Honors Thesis Student

The project I am working on is my undergraduate honors thesis, where I am researching how the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the communication and language development of preschool-aged children. This is my senior year, and I am hoping to attend graduate school next fall to achieve my goal of becoming a speech-language pathologist.

Hi!! My name is Samantha Olvera and I am in my sophomore year at Oklahoma State, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I am pursuing a career in speech pathology and plan to go into grad school after my undergrad. Currently, I am working as a research assistant in Dr. Kaipa's lab. Hi! My name is Saige Ward, and I am a senior graduating in the Fall of 2023. I have been in the lab for going on 3 years now under Kaipa, and I am currently working on the project looking at the communication of children born during the pandemic. I am currently applying to graduate school and am so excited to continue on my journey to becoming a practicing SLP!

I am a senior here at Oklahoma State University, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I have been working on the project looking at the communication of children born during the pandemic. I plan to continue my education in pursuit of a Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology. I have worked in this lab for 4 years and it has been an honor to learn, grow and discover alongside my peers!

 

 

 

Madison Young, Undergraduate Research Assistant

Hi, I'm Madison! I am currently in my senior year at Oklahoma State and working on the "Communicative intents of children born during the COVID-19 pandemic" project under the direction of Dr. Kaipa. In the future, I plan to attend graduate school either here in the U.S. or abroad hopefully to work internationally with Spanish-English bilinguals in Speech Pathology or a related field one day.
