Communication Sciences and Disorders, BS
Communications Sciences and Disorders provides an in-depth study of Normal Speech, Language, Hearing Processes and Disorders of Communication. These topics are studied to prepare students to enter a graduate program. As a CDIS major, you will build the foundation and pre-professional background to pursue a career in speech-language pathology and/or audiology.
Program Highlights
Observe therapy sessions as a junior and gain clinical experience as an undergraduate
Gain research experience in the Phon Farm, Motor Speech Lab, Sociophonetics Lab and the Language Learning Lab
Take courses in manually coded English and finger spelling.
Participate in summer camps such as Literacy Camp, Cowboy Aphasia Camp, and Cowboy Fluency Camp.
