Incorporating our mission and vision into our coursework at Oklahoma State University's Department of Theatre is central to our academic approach. We aim to provide students with a comprehensive educational experience, empowering them to become versatile artists and leaders, in line with our mission and vision.

Our coursework fosters an in-depth understanding of theater, dance and arts administration, covering both traditional and innovative aspects. By exploring contemporary and historical contexts of arts and performance, students build a strong foundation for groundbreaking applications of their knowledge.

We emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving and hands-on experiences, preparing students for careers in theater, dance or arts administration. Our courses cover practical aspects of production, including design, management, performance and technology. Students also learn to identify, market and brand their artistic output.
