Marley Giggey is a stage and production manager originally from Virginia. She worked in the DC theatre region for a decade including productions at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, 1st Stage, Studio Theatre, and Signature Theatre. She was the resident stage manager of Synetic Theater, a physical theatre company based in Arlington, Virginia, working on over 30 productions with the company. Additionally, Marley has worked at the Cincinnati Ballet, Heritage Theatre Festival, The Conciliation Project, and New Harmony Theatre. Her work stage managing Ariadne auf Naxos and La Rondineunder COVID-19 restrictions was recognized with an Award of Outstanding Achievement and earned a Board Choice Winner designation from the USITT Ohio Valley Region Peggy Ezekiel Awards. She presented her research on unpaid internships in the performing arts at the 2022 USITT national conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Marley is an active member of the USITT Management and Education Commissions, a member of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, and an Equity Membership Candidate with Actors’ Equity Association.  

 

Marley received a BFA in Stage Management from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in Stage Management from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
