A degree in statistics is highly flexible in the job market. For the last several years, statistician (data analyst or data scientist) has been listed as one of the "top jobs" in the U.S. Statistics affects so many different disciplines: insurance, business and marketing, pharmaceutical industry, quality control in manufacturing, education and government. So, whether you are interested in science, business or social science, there is a place for a statistician. In addition to training in a variety of statistical methods or applications, a statistician must communicate well with both technical and non-technical audiences.
