Four OSU Track & Field Athletes Named to CSC Academic All-American Team

STAT major Taelor Roe has success in the classroom and on the track!

OSU Statistics Majors Compete in Datathon 2023.

Statistics majors, Jenson Bridges (second from left) and Elijah Lucas (center) participated in the Datathon Scholarship competition on March 2, 2023. Their team placed third. Statistics major, Morgan Gilliam's team placed second in the competition.  Congratulations to all of you!

February 17, 2023  Cowgirl Indoor Track and Field Historic Season

Many successes for all athletes in Women's and Men's Track and Field. STAT major Taylor Roe is a part of the Distance Medley Relay setting the fifth highest score in NCAA history.

IEM and STAT Professors Receive $1.2M Grant to Study AI Models for Diabetic Retinopathy Screening

The grant, which is spread over four years, will support the research to improve the performance of the DR screening tool by ameliorating the data quality issues in EHR. Specific aims of the project include designing tensor-enabled data imputation, augmentation, and prediction algorithms led by Drs. Tieming Liu, Chenang Liu, and Bing Yao in IEM and a Bayesian hierarchical modeling approach to classify the unlabeled patients' trajectories led by Dr. Ye Liang in STAT.

COVID-19 Data and Statistical Modeling

OSU experts formed an advisory group to Governor Kevin Stitt. This group developed statistical models for COVID-19 and how the state is impacted. Listen to Dr. Mindy McCann's interview about the results and experience with this group of experts.
