Online
Join our staff for an appointment online, either in real time on Zoom (synchronous) or through Written Feedback (asynchronous), to receive feedback on your work and answer any questions you might have.
Zoom Appointment
Zoom appointments are in real time (synchronous). You can chat with a tutor by going through Slate. We’ll go over your work together just like normal: reading and discussing. This option is perfect for people who have a lot of questions, enjoy hands-on learning, or simply learn best through flexible conversation.
Hours:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
How to Schedule:
Writers need to make an appointment, on a schedule that offers online synchronous options.
Getting Feedback:
At the appointment time, log on and click on your appointment slot. There will be a link on the appointment confirmation screen that says, “Start or Join Online Session.” You will be directed to a separate tab with audio/visual communication, a whiteboard to copy-paste your project, and a chat box. Your tutor will meet with you via this online format at the appointment time.
Written Feedback Appointment
In a Written Feedback appointment (also called an asynchronous appointment) you'll upload your document and receive feedback from a tutor within 48 hours of your chosen time slot, including comments embedded directly in your paper and a summary advice letter at the end. This option works well if you learn best from written feedback or have a packed schedule that makes live appointments difficult. Before you upload, make sure your tutor has access to your Microsoft Word document, and include your assignment instructions (as a Word or PDF file) along with your paper.
How to Schedule:
To request a Written Feedback appointment please login to the WCONLINE Website and select “Written Feedback” from the schedule options.
Getting Feedback:
Tutors will upload files when making their reports. Writers will receive email confirmation that new files are available to be downloaded as tutors complete appointments.
Note: Tutors have 48 hours from official appointment time to send feedback to students.
