Scholarship Opportunities with NGWA University
UpSkill/OSRHE Scholarships
Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) provides scholarships to Oklahoma
residents or employees of Oklahoma-owned businesses for the purposes of upskilling
their knowledge and skills in the workforce. These scholarships are up to $1,000 a
person who can be someone entering a career for the first time, changing careers,
or looking to upskill themselves in their current workplace. These scholarships are
on a first-come, first-serve basis and are open to any of the courses offered within
NGWAU. An application is required; NGWA University will reach out to those who have
completed an application and are eligible. Scholarships are contingent upon available
funding.
Franklin Electric Scholarships
Franklin Electric sponsorships are provided to five currently employed groundwater
professionals who are current members with the National Ground Water Association (NGWA)
at a state or national level and seek to pursue a Certified Well Driller Designation.
The applications period is open between March 10, 2024 and September 1, 2024 (deadlines
at midnight CST). Participants must apply and will be announced at National Groundwater
Week in Las Vegas on December 10-12, 2024. Those selected to receive the sponsorship
are NOT required to attend National Groundwater Week. Once selected, participants
will have six months to complete the General Drilling Prep package with NGWA University.
