Bio
Sheldon Yeakley is a PhD student studying 19th century Native American History. He received his B.A. from Oklahoma Christian University and his M.A. from Oklahoma State University. Continuing his master’s thesis, “Living Beyond the Sky: The Long Removals of the Wyandot Indians,” his dissertation will trace the removals of several Native Nations from the Midwest focusing on the confluence of race, religion, government policy, and settler colonialism.
