Samuel Walgren is a Public History MA student studying 19th century American History, specifically the Civil War Era (1815-1877). Consequentially, he is interested in American Military History and War & Society. His thesis focuses on Middle Tennessee Confederates and their sustaining motivations and coping mechanisms during the Civil War. He received a BA in History from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
