What do we do?

We study past and present environments to better understand human-environmental relations.

Our lab analyzes soils/sediments, pollen, phytoliths, and other palynomorphs.

AGQUAPAL supports students doing honors projects, theses and dissertation research on geoarchaeological and paleoecological topics.
What happens inside our labs?
We process sediments and soil samples for our research.
We use microscopes to examine plant microfossils.
