The Gardiner Gallery of Art is pleased to present the Oklahoma Art Region Gold Key winners in the 2022 Scholastic Gold Key Exhibition. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens, grades 7 – 12. Founded in 1923, for nearly a century, Scholastic has inspired bold ideas throughout the country.

Student artwork is juried by leading arts practitioners who select pieces that exemplify the Awards’ core values: originality, technical skill and personal vision and style. The awards give students opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication and scholarships. Of the 913 students across the state of Oklahoma that submitted work, 29 individual students received the Gold Key Award. The Gardiner Gallery of Art at Oklahoma State University is excited to showcase work made by these young Oklahoma artists.
