Assistantships

Each year OSU awards more than $15 million in stipends to graduate teaching assistants and graduate research assistants. Graduate students in communication sciences and disorders may receive a .25 FTE (10 hours per week) graduate teaching assistantship (GTA). In addition to a monthly stipend, students are awarded a full tuition waiver. Students accepted into the graduate program will be reviewed for assistantship. No application is required. Assistantships are awarded on merit. GRE scores and undergraduate GPA factor heavily into the decision to award.

Non-Resident Tuition Award Program

OSU has a non-resident tuition award program for out-of-state students applying to different graduate programs including our graduate program of communication sciences and disorders.

  • This award sets the tuition rate equal to the online graduate nonresident tuition rate. See out-of-state scholarships for more detailed information.
  • Reduction stays in place through degree completion.

We are one of the leading universities within the state of Oklahoma that offers different avenues of graduate funding. These include departmental graduate teaching assistantships (GTA), graduate research assistantships (GRA), and other graduate scholarships.
