More about the certificate
The Dyslexia Certificate is offered by the Department of Communication Sciences and
Disorders (College of Arts and Sciences) in partnership with the School of Teaching,
Learning and Educational Sciences (College of Education and Human Sciences). There
are two types: the undergraduate certificate, which can be taken concurrently with
a bachelor's degree, and the graduate certificate, which can be taken concurrently
with a graduate degree or on its own for those who already have a bachelor's in any
field. Additionally, the graduate version closely aligns with the classwork for a
master's in Teaching, Learning & Leadership (with an option in Reading & Literacy
or Special Education). A certificate can be completed fully online in as little as
a year, or you can take longer. Some classes meet synchronously and others are asynchronous.
