Audiology Assistant
Become an Audiology Assistant!
If you want to work in the field of audiology without or before attending grad school,
the audiology assistant certificate is the perfect option for you! Obtain hands-on
clinical experience, practice hearing device maintenance, and work to provide patients
with the highest level of care. The certificate can be taken by students who aren't
pursuing a bachelor's degree as well as undergraduate students in any major. The program
can be completed in four semesters while working full-time or studying in another
field.
More about the certificate
The Audiology Assistant Certificate allows students who are interested in audiology
to work as an Audiology Assistant (AudA) during college, in preparation for grad school,
or as a full-time career. As a college degree isn't required to work as an Audiology
Assistant, the certificate can be taken separately from a bachelor's degree. OSU students
who are already majoring in CDIS only need to add Clinical Methods in Audiology in
order to earn this certificate. As the only AudA program in Oklahoma, this certificate
equips students to complete supervised clinical hours and to receive their AudA ASHA
certification through the C-AA exam. The coursework can be completed fully online.
Clinical practicum is done in person, can be arranged by our internship coordinator
for any US location, and can begin before finishing coursework, allowing students
to study while working and work toward completing their clinical hours prior to certification.
