Dr. Pitre's Lab
Dr. Spencer Pitre
Assistant Professor, Chemistry
Spencer was born and raised in the small Canadian province of Prince Edward Island. In 2012, he completed his B.Sc. with Honours in Chemistry at the University of Prince Edward Island with a minor in Physics. During his time at UPEI, he worked in the lab of Dr. Brian Wagner, focusing on structure-activity relationships of modified β-cyclodextrins for host-guest chemistry.

Dr. Pitre's Research
Organic Photoreductants and Nucleophilic Cobalt Catalysis
We are an organic chemistry group in the Department of Chemistry at Oklahoma State University that focuses on the development of new reactions that leverage visible light photochemistry. Our goal is to develop a broad range of innovative methods that increase the breadth of carbon radical precursors in organic synthesis.
