Dean Melinda A. Cro

A digital humanist and early modernist with a Ph.D. in romance languages from the University of Georgia, Dr. Melinda Cro became the first non-interim female dean of Oklahoma State University’s College of Arts and Sciences in July 2024. With 15 years of higher-ed teaching and administrative experience — most recently at Kansas State University — Cro now leads OSU’s largest college. Her vision for CAS includes utilizing the college’s expansive expertise to become the nation’s preeminent land-grant college of arts and sciences in alignment with OSU’s We Are Land-Grant initiatives.
