Mission, Vision, Values and Goals
Join us on this journey as we expand student opportunities, support our internationally
recognized faculty, and foster partnerships for cutting-edge research consortia. Together,
we are shaping the future of geosciences, addressing global challenges and leaving
a lasting impact on our world.
Our Facilities Enhance Student Success
Students have the opportunity to conduct basic and applied interdisciplinary research
that will prepare them as leaders to meet the global challenges of tomorrow and to
expand the frontiers of geosciences, both in exploration and development. We are committed
to enhancing student success and retention by engaging our students in high-quality
research.
Our Core Research Facility
This state-of-the-art facility is our newest addition to the Boone Pickens School

Our Community Outreach Program
The Boone Pickens School of Geology (BPSoG) is proud of it's outreach program. As
part of our land-grant mission, we promote teaching, learning, outreach and creative
activities within our communities across the state. Our faculty enjoy interacting
with others, to help them explore the history of our Earth while discovering, recognizing
and using natural resources to improve the quality of human life. If you or your organization
are interested in setting up a day with the BPSoG Outreach, email us and we will help
you get scheduled for an event.
BPSoG Outreach strives to get young children, students, and even adults interested in geoscience. Our faculty not only make it educational, they make it an interactive experience. Our faculty would like others to use that wonder and exploration, that we all carry in us, to expand our minds. Using hands-on teaching methods, along with creative activities, BPSoG strives for others to become engaged in ways to sustain our Earth's life.
