Digital Studies Certificate

Overview
The Digital Studies certificate — which is earned in addition to a bachelor’s degree
— has six hours of required coursework, includinges a capstone research or internship experience, and nine hours of electives in two areas: Digital Application and Computering and Information Sciences. Six hours must be at the upper division level, and courses
must be from at least two departments or programs. Courses not on the list below may
be approved for the certificate on a case-by-case basis. Submit requests for approval
to the Digital Studies Curriculum Committee by contacting Mary Larson at mary.larson@okstate.edu.

Admission Requirements and Deadlines
Students must possess a bachelor’s degree to receive the Certificate in Digital Studies. For OSU students, the certificate will be awarded upon completion of the bachelor’s degree. Nine credit hours must be completed in residence at OSU and students must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0, with a GPA of 2.5 and minimum grade of “C” in all Digital Studies coursework.
Application deadlines: Students may apply any semester to begin working on classes required for the certificate.
