Large enough to offer rewarding performance opportunities, the Michael and Anne Greenwood School of Music  is also small enough to provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. You will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with nationally and internationally renowned artists/faculty and musical scholars who are truly dedicated to and invested in the success of each individual student. The study of Music at OSU provides an environment that will challenge you to reach your artistic potential and prepare you to function in various capacities within the professional world of music. 


Program Highlights

 

The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at OSU is a world-class epicenter for the arts, attracting celebrated national and international programs featuring notable performing arts productions and artists. School of Music students benefit from interactions with renowned performing arts leaders. 

Music Education - options include vocal certification, instrumental certification, vocal and instrumental certification. Music Education includes certification options designed for the student desiring a teaching career in K-12 schools. 

Music Industry -  receive instruction in both music and business topics. Music Industry serves students interested in careers in music production, songwriting, live entertainment, and music entrepreneurship 

Music Performance - prepare for a professional performing career, graduate school, and teaching in a collegiate or private school.
