The field of Geography offers many rewarding career and travel opportunities, stemming from its central position in the social and physical sciences. As a geography major, you can tailor your studies to your interests study the world’s places and landscapes through approaches including fieldwork, GIS, sustainability, spatial justice, remote sensing, and more. 

  

Explore what makes places different (physically, culturally, economically, historically, politically), how places are connected through business, trade, industry, tourism, other spatial interactions, as well as how, people interact with the environment. 


Program Highlights

 

Geography (BA/BS) - Learn about culture, migration, urban planning, resource conservation, and more. You can choose to focus your coursework in these tracks: People, Place, Society; Geospatial Techniques; Climate Science; or Environmental Change and Sustainability. 

Geospatial Information Science - Gain hands-on experience learning and applying different geospatial tools including GIS and remote sensing to analyze and solve challenges related to public health, biodiversity, or urban affairs. 

Global Studies - Deepen your understanding of the forces and processes shaping our world. Choose an emphasis in: Culture, the Arts and Humanities; Geopolitics and the Global Economy; or Global Sustainability
