Bio
Jessica L. Schachle-Gordon is a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at Oklahoma State University
and Managing Editor of The Sociological Quarterly. Her areas of interest include education, social movements, race and ethnicity, and
gender and sexuality. Her qualitative dissertation research examines contestation
over gender, sexuality, and critical race theory in Oklahoma’s public schools. She
has published her research in journals such as Sociological Forum, Sociology of Race and Ethnicity, and Work and Occupations.
Jessica's research has been recognized through awards from the Mid-South Sociological
Association and the Women's Faculty Council at Oklahoma State University."
