- Matsuzaburo Yokoyama was interested in emotion and feelings. He was strongly affected by E.B. Titchener’s work. He sought to solve the same problems: consciousness and function, element and whole, consciousness and unconsciousness, the adjustment of consciousness and behavior within the view of structural psychology.
- In addition, he contributed to improve the status of private universities in psychology.
