Graduate Students
Danielle Deros, M.S.—Danielle is a sixth-year graduate student in the clinical psychology doctoral program at Oklahoma State University. Her primary research interests involve examining the physiological and cognitive factors underlying attention and emotion processing biases as they relate to the maintenance of social anxiety disorder. She enjoys following Baltimore sports, caffeine, and painting.
Burkhart Hahn, B.S.—Burke is a fifth-year graduate student in the clinical psychology program at Oklahoma State University. His primary research interest is in anxiety disorders in relation to exercise. More specifically, he is interested in how exercise can affect anxiety psychophysiology and anxiety symptoms by measuring event-related potentials and heartbeat evoked potentials. Outside of research, he enjoys exercising, listening to audio books, and cooking.
Ebony Walker, B.A.—Ebony is a third-year graduate student in the clinical psychology doctoral program at Oklahoma State University. She is interested in understanding the relationship between emotion regulation and cognitive control deficits in the context of anxiety and mood disorders. Ebony enjoys traveling abroad, shopping, and watching TV with her dog, King.
Johnathan Walker, B.S.—Johnny is a second-year graduate student in the clinical psychology doctoral program at Oklahoma State University. He is interested in understanding the relationship between emotional regulation and cognitive factors that may contribute to the chronicity of social anxiety and anxiety related psychopathology. Johnny loves going to the gym, learning to play the guitar and being outside exploring nature.
Tony Montgomery is a third-year PhD in the department of kinesiology, applied health, and recreation at Oklahoma State University. His primary research interests are in utilizing exercise and psychological interventions such as cognitive reappraisal and growth mindset to improve mood states, motivation, and exercise adherence in populations with mood disorders. Outside of research, he enjoys exercising, backpacking, and writing poetry.
Eric Mann is a first-year graduate student in the clinical psychology doctoral program at Oklahoma State University. He is primarily interested in understanding disruptive anxiety related to acceptance versus rejection and how this anxiety influences cognition. In his free time, Eric enjoys reading fantasy novels, going to concerts, and watching horror movies with friends. Eric can be reached at eric.mann@okstate.edu
Undergraduate Students
- Kidist Beker—Kidist is a senior at Oklahoma State University studying Psychology. Kidist plans to attend graduate school for clinical psychology. She enjoys knitting, listening to podcasts, and watching Netflix.
- Lauren Buegelsdyk—Lauren is a junior at Oklahoma State University studying Psychology and Biology, with a minor in neuroscience. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. upon graduation. In her free time, Lauren enjoys reading, cooking, swimming, and spending time with her family.
- Elli Billingsley—Elli is a junior at Oklahoma State University studying Psychology and Sociology. She hopes to get her Ph.D. in clinical psychology to continue helping those in need. She loves learning about new things, spending time with friends, and reading.
- Madison Colclazier—Madison is a junior at Oklahoma State University studying Psychology and Pre-Nursing. She plans to pursue psychiatric nursing following graduation. In her free time, she enjoys baking, hanging out with friends, and watching Hulu.
- Emily Flemming—Emily is a Junior Psychology major and plans to go to medical school after graduation. Her primary goal is to become an endocrinologist. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and cat, listening to murder mysteries and watching tv shows such as Scrubs or M*A*S*H.
- Casey Giles—Casey is a junior studying the field of psychology with a concentration in pre-medical sciences and a double minor in neuroscience and philosophy. After graduation, she plans to go to medical school and pursue the field of neurology. In her free time, she enjoys reading about politics and medicine, listening to podcasts, and skateboarding.
- Riley Kaltenbacher—Riley is a senior at Oklahoma State University studying Psychology. Upon graduation, she plants to attend graduate school to pursue a career in school counseling, with the hopes of becoming a high school guidance counselor. Riley enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and watching movies.
- Mirand Koskela—Miranda is a senior at Oklahoma State University studying Psychology. Miranda plans to attend graduate school for clinical or social psychology with the goal of working in academia. In her free time, she enjoys reading and writing, baking, and musicals.
- Jason Sharps—Jason is a senior at Oklahoma State University studying Psychology and Technical Writing. Jason plans to continue onto graduate school to study gender/sex and sexuality. Jason enjoys knitting, gardening, and baking in his free time.
- Lauren Smith—Lauren is a junior at Oklahoma State University studying Psychology. Upon graduation, she intends to apply to graduate school to study Climate/Conservation Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys anime, listening to true crime podcasts, and practicing meditation.
- Alyssa Trevino—Alyssa is a senior at Oklahoma State University majoring in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. Alyssa hopes to continue her education in a Ph.D program and one day become a neuropsychologist. She likes to spend her free time exploring places and spending time with family and friends.
