Graduate Studies
Political Science
Master's Degree
Our department offers two graduate programs: M.A. in Peace, Conflict, and Security
Studies and M.A. in Politics and Policy Studies. Both offer close-knit cohorts of
students and a supportive academic environment to prepare you for a variety of applied
careers or for continued study in Ph.D. or law programs.
Peace, Conflict and Security Studies builds students' substantive knowledge and analytical
skills for understanding the conditions for negative peace (absence of violence) and
positive peace (setting a foundation for a just society).
Politics and Policy Studies builds students' substantive knowledge and analytical
skills for understanding political processes, behaviors, institutions, and policymaking
in American, comparative, and international contexts.
