Kenny Reichert
Visiting Assistant Professor of Guitar
Kenny Reichert is a guitarist, composer, bandleader, and educator with over a decade of performance, recording, and teaching experience. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from DePaul University and has released several acclaimed albums, including Switch (2024, Calligram Records), Deep Breath (2023, Shifting Paradigm Records), and Interpretations (2015). His work has been featured in a wide range of publications and platforms, including DownBeat Magazine, All About Jazz, JazzTimes, Making a Scene, Jazz Weekly, Textura, UK Vibe, WDCB Public Radio, and Chicago Jazz Magazine.
In addition to his work as a solo artist, Reichert is a founding member of Righteous Rooster, a Chicago-based organ trio celebrated for its energetic fusion of funk, jazz, and blues. He has also performed and recorded internationally with the jazz-folk duo Sara and Kenny, and is a member of Moldovan vocalist Ana Everling's ensemble. Beyond performance, Reichert is an active composer and producer for music licensing, with work featured on national and international television programs including NFL GameDay Kickoff, Temptation Island, and Blood & Water.
This fall, Mr. Kenny Reichert will join the Greenwood School of Music as the Visiting Assistant Professor of Guitar.
