Ann Nelson
Director, Fiscal Operations
Ann Nelson was hired as the director of fiscal operations for the College of Arts and Sciences in January 2024. A native of Tulsa, Ann earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and an MBA from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. She boasts more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, including positions at IBM, the University of Oklahoma, and Tulsa’s Family and Children’s Services.
“As a lifelong learner, I feel at home in an academic environment, and the duties and responsibilities of this role resonated with me,” Ann said. “It’s the best of all things I enjoy doing.”
Ann intentionally chose to work in service of the nonprofit sector, most recently holding the position of CFO at Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. She sees coming to OSU and our college as a chance to leave a legacy of service and to be a part of something larger than herself.
Ann and her husband Alfred have five children — one of whom is an OSU CAS graduate — and six grandchildren. “I must say, our grandchildren are the joys of our life!” Ann said.
