Who We Are
Center for Insecurity and Inequality Research
The Center for Insecurity and Inequality Research (CIIR) is devoted to understanding
the causes, consequences and interconnections between insecurity and inequality with
a focus on jobs, food, health, the environment, the economy and overall society. CIIR
is located in the Department of Sociology within the College of Arts and Sciences
at Oklahoma State University.
What We Study
CIIR supports cutting-edge research on insecurity, inequality and their intersections
in service to OSU’s land-grant mission to extend critical knowledge and expertise
in, while also proposing solutions to society’s most pressing problems.
