Thinking Through the Future of Academically-Centered Humanities
Coinciding with the launch of OSU's new Center for the Humanities, this virtual panel brings together the unique perspectives of three scholars involved in promoting and expanding the humanities today. The panelists, through their perspectives as organizational leaders and collaborators, will discuss their visions for inspiring action through humanities, sharing examples of powerful, ambitious, and hopeful work.

Patrick (“PC”) Fleming is a Humanities Administrator in the Division of Education Programs at the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Darryl Harper serves as Co-president of the Consortium for Humanities Centers and Institutes. He is director of the Center for Humanistic Inquiry at Amherst College and John William Ward Professor of Music.
Kristine Navarro-McElhaney is the Assistant Director at Voces Oral History Center at University of Texas at Austin, and currently president of the National Council on Public History.
