Musicianship and Composition
Musicianship
Musicianship is a cornerstone in the development of young musicians. Our faculty teaches from the ABRSM method which offers up to 8 levels of courses. Each year students have the option to test out of their current level. Students that are beyond the curriculum have the option of pursuing composition with our composition faculty.
GSM Preparatory Academy will be using the ABRSM curriculum and will continue to include all levels of this curriculum as needed by our students. All beginning students age 10+ will automatically be enrolled in Musicianship 1. The fee for this course is packaged with the private lesson and group tuition.
Musicianship 1 will be held on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. and will alternate weekly with studio/group classes.
Composition
Students beyond Musicianship 1 that would like to continue developing their theory and musical skills should consider registering for composition lessons. Composition lesson are taught by our Composer-in-Residence, Noam Faingold. Read more about Noam.
Tuition: Includes 15 weeks of private composition lessons.
- 30 Minutes: $450 per semester
- 45 Minutes: $675 per semester
- 60 Minutes: $850 per semester
Please note that all composition lessons will be taught remotely.
