Bio
Sadia Kamal is a PhD student in Computer Science at Oklahoma State University. Working in the Reasoning & Artificial Intelligence (rAIson) Laboratory under Dr. Sen's mentorship, her research specializes in detecting political biases across social media platforms and news content, while also exploring social network analysis and analyzing bias shifts in LLMs. As the Women in Data Science (WiDS)Stillwater Ambassador 2023, Sadia demonstrates her commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in technology fields. Her academic excellence and leadership qualities have earned her multiple distinctions, including the 2023 Outstanding CS Scholar and Outstanding CS Leader Awards. Prior to her doctoral studies, Sadia earned her Bachelor's degree with magna cum laude honors from the American International University - Bangladesh (AIUB), where she was also awarded the prestigious Anwarul Abedin Leadership Award (Gold Medal) for her exceptional leadership capabilities.
