of the Oliver and Joy Kerfoot Scholarship
. Jennifer Minnick is from a small, southeast Georgia town called Folkston. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Georgia College & State University and is currently a fifth year graduate student in the Department of Chemistry at Oklahoma State University. “I was very grateful to receive the Kerfoot Scholarship,” Jennifer said. “It helped me financially so that I could comfortably continue performing my research over the summer.” Her research focus is in the field of inorganic chemistry, where she currently performs studies for the synthesis, characterization, and catalytic activity of pincer pyridine-based bis(N-heterocyclic Carbene) ligands and their copper (I) complexes.
