Dean Bloodgood received his BFA from the University of Texas in 1958. And then recieved an MFA from the University of Southern California in 1960. He taught at the University of Illinois before joining the faculty at Oklahoma State University. While here he taught painting and drawing from 1964 to 2005. His work has continued to be exhibited in galleries around the country since the 1950s and is a part of permanent collections.
