Victoria O’Keefe, Ph.D. (Cherokee/Seminole Nations) graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2016 following her year-long clinical internship at the Puget Sound VA Health Care System – Seattle Division. She completed a postdoctoral clinical residency at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in 2017. She became the first Native American tenure-track assistant professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHBSPH) in 2017. She is also an Associate Director at the Center for American Indian Health at JHBSPH, where she conducts suicide-prevention research with tribal communities across Indian Country.
