Marsha Williams

B.S. Political Science '71
After graduating from OSU, Marsha Williams attended the University of Oklahoma (OU) and received her Juris Doctorate degree.
She is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma and Texas and is a Life Fellow of the
American Bar Foundation. She was named a Texas Top Rated Lawyer, a Top-Rated Lawyer
in Banking and Finance Law, a Top Rated Lawyer in Real Estate Law, and Fortune Magazine
named her a Woman Leader in Law.
She co-authored Pratt’s State Regulation of Second Mortgages and Home Equity Loans
and was a contributing author for numerous publications.
She was President of Dallas Mortgage Bankers Association and served on the Boards
of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association and of the national Mortgage Bankers Association,
receiving service awards from both associations.
Then Texas Governor George W. Bush appointed her to the Board of the Texas Department
of Housing and Community Affairs to represent lending institutions.
She is Past Chair of the Board of Advocates for the OU College of Arts and Sciences.
Currently she is a member of the Dean’s Circle for the OSU College of Arts and Sciences
and a member of the OU President’s Associates Council. She also serves on the Board
of Archives of Women of the Southwest and is a member of Visionary Oklahoma Women
and of Impact Oklahoma.
