Hedi Heiden Reynolds

Hedi Heiden Reynolds

2025 Distinguished Alumni

B.S. Journalism '62

At Oklahoma State, Hedi demonstrated early leadership as president of the Association of Women Students and Editor of the Daily O’Collegian, now The O’Colly, which earned the Associated Collegiate Press top award for large universities under her leadership.

Her academic and extracurricular achievements included being named Top Ten Senior, Mortar Board, Phi Kappa Phi, and Arts & Sciences Queen. She also held multiple leadership roles in Kappa Kappa Gamma and later served on the Kappa National Foundation Board.

Being raised by a single mother inspired Hedi’s deep commitment to advancing opportunities for women. Over a 40-year career in finance, Hedi broke numerous barriers. She became the first female Managing Director on the board of NYSE firm Morgan Keegan & Co. and the first woman to head NASDAQ trading, and was a frequent television commentator on major business networks. She made history again as the first woman Chairman of the international Security Traders Association in its 65-year history, and served on and chaired multiple NASDAQ and industry committees. She continues to serve on the NASDAQ Exchanges Nominating Committee.

Beyond Wall Street, Hedi is active in church and community affairs, including serving on the Lovers Lane UMC Foundation Board, Educational Opportunities Board, and UTSouthwestern President’s Research Council.

She and her husband Don, OSU engineering graduate, take pride in their daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren.
