B.S. Pre-Med '53

Dr. Larson R. Keso was born 1932 in Centertown, Mo., and spent the first seven years of his life in Edmond, Okla. After spending the war years in Missouri, the family moved to Stillwater in 1946 at which time his father became chairman of the Department of Geography at Oklahoma A&M.


After graduating Stillwater High School at 16 he entered Oklahoma A&M as a pre-dental student. In 1951, he entered Washington University’s (St. Louis) School of Dentistry. In 1953 he received a B.S. in Zoology from Okla. A&M.


In 1955 he received a D.D.S. from Washington University and entered the U.S.A.F. Dental Corps. In 1958 he returned to Washington University to begin his orthodontic residency and complete his M.S. in Orthodontics.


In 1960 he established his practice in Oklahoma City. Active in dentistry and orthodontics, he was instrumental in the formation of the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry.


He has a wife of 67 years, a son and daughter, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson. Among his many awards are Distinguished Alumnus, Washington University, Distinguished Service Award, Oklahoma University, and the Distinguished Service Award AAO.
