
Brett Jameson

B.S. Zoology '94
As a practicing Orthopedic Surgeon in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Dr. Jameson serves patients in Oklahoma and surrounding states. Earning his medical degree with outstanding distinction and subsequently completing his residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Dr. Jameson earned the L.J. Moormanm Award for ranking first academically in his medical school class and the Leonard Marmor Award as the Outstanding Orthopedic Surgery resident.
While in medical school, he served on the student council, the medical school admissions board, and on the OB/Gyn chairman search committee. He wasminducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society his junior year. He received the Vernino-Vannatta Award for Excellence in Patient Care, the Randall GrubbmAward for Excellence in Anatomic Sciences, and the McGraw-Hill Award for Academic Excellence.
His research in medical school and residency resulted in articles published in medical journals including Bilateral Navicular Body Fractures published in the Journal of Trauma in July 2003 and Normal Kinematics of the Pisiform and the Piso-Triquetral Joint published in the Journal of Hand in Sept./Oct. 2002. For his work, he was awarded the Ghazi M. Rayan Award for outstanding performance in research.
Dr. Jameson is dedicated to research that supports people living longer, healthier lives and has served on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation from 2005 to the present time. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, a member of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, and a member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Jameson acknowledges his excellent preparation for a career in medicine while a student at Oklahoma State University where he was actively involved in the College of Arts and Sciences and received his bachelor’s degree in Zoology, graduating with honors. He was placed on the President’s Honor Roll all 8 semesters, was named the Outstanding Male Graduate at Oklahoma State University, the Outstanding Graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences, and the Outstanding Graduate of the Department of Zoology.
While at Oklahoma State University, Dr. Jameson participated in numerous activities and boards, including the OSU Alumni Association Board of Directors, OSU Student Alumni Board-Executive Director, OSU College of Arts and Sciences Student Council - Vice President, Delta Tau Delta Fraternity - President, OSU Student Government Association - Director of Campus Relations, Interfraternity Council - Judicial Board, President’s Leadership Council -Student Coordinator, and the Freshman Representative Council.
Dr. Jameson’s participation as an undergraduate student gave him many opportunities to support the university and the student body. He was Oklahoma State University Homecoming King, the Outstanding Greek Junior, a member of the Blue Key Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Order of Omega Honor Society, the Outstanding Greek Sophomore, Iota Kappa Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, and was a Top Ten Freshman. He received the President’s Distinguished Scholarship and the President’s Leadership Council Scholarship. He was named the outstanding performer in Varsity Review where he led his participating group as Director of the first-place group performance.
With a commitment to continuous education, Dr. Jameson furthered his education at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and received a Master of Liberal Arts Degree in Extension Studies in Management with a focus in Real Estate Management. At the present time, he is co-owner of CB Enterprises, a real estate entity that owns and manages a real estate portfolio that focuses on multi-family housing.
As a dedicated Oklahoma State University alum, Dr. Jameson dedicates much of his time and energy to activities of OSU. For the OSU Center for Health Sciences, Dr. Jameson serves as an adjunct clinical assistant professor of Surgery in Orthopedics. He has served on the Oklahoma State University Foundation Board of Governors from 2005 to the present and has served on the Oklahoma State University Foundation Board of Trustees from 2017 to the present. He serves on the OSUF National Campaign Committee and the McKnight Center Advisory Council. He served on the Oklahoma State University Presidential Search Committee in 2020-21 and served on the OSU Alumni Association Board of Directors from 2005-2010. Dr. Jameson represents his ranching roots, where he grew up on the Jameson Ranch in Davis, Oklahoma, by serving on the Board of Directors of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Jameson has a love for the arts support this passion at Oklahoma State with the Bretton H Jameson Endowment for Piano at the McKnight Center, supporting performances, masterclasses, and the acquisition and maintenance of pianos.
