Chemistry majors are employed in a large array of professional fields. Both the ACS Approved degree and the Medicinal Chemistry major provide a clear path into professorial and graduate schools with a 100% acceptance rate achieved by our students over the past two decades. Our majors often find immediate employment in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, agricultural, petrochemical, forensics, environmental laboratories and startups. Roles vary from technicians, quality control and assurance specialists, forensics scientists, and more. During the course of the degree, students study both the atomic and molecular structure of matter and investigate the fundamental reactions in life, the development and formulation of new materials, industrial production processes, and more.
