OSU Beckman Scholars Program
Beckman ExcellenceHigh-caliber training for OSU's bright and energetic young investigators.
OSU is thrilled to offer the prestigious Beckman Scholars Program to support research potential among highly-motivated chemistry and life science students.
BSP Overview
OSU received a highly-selective Beckman Scholars Program (BSP) award in 2023 from the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation. The OSU Beckman Scholars program is a prestigious research experience for highly-motivated undergraduates in the disciplines of chemistry, biochemistry, biology, physiology, physics, and microbiology. Selected scholars will conduct independent research under the guidance of one the program's dedicated expert faculty mentors. OSU Beckman Scholars receive individualized research mentorship, alongside additional training in scientific communication, leadership, and community building. OSU BSP supports students in their pursuit of Ph.D. M.D. or M.D/Ph.D degrees. OSU BSP especially welcomes applicants who have no prior research experience. Beginning in May 2023, the College of Arts and Sciences will name two Beckman Scholars each year for three years.
