"Why It Matters: Talks on the American Past"
In the past year, history department faculty published five new books. To celebrate the authors and share their expertise with the public, the department launched a five-part public program series called, "Why It Matters: Talks on the American Past." Congratulations, Graduates!
Please join us in congratulating our three graduate students who walked in the Spring 2024 commencement ceremony! Doctoral candidates Kristina Rogers, hooded by Dr. Kallie Kosc, and Savannah Waters, hooded by Dr. Douglas Miller, will both be completing their dissertations this summer. Averee McNear successfully defended her MA thesis "More Than a Building with Books: Resistance, Resilience, and the Fight for African American Public Library Access, 1900 - 1970," in April.
