Participating in SeEDS Lab Research
We are currently recruiting for two study projects.
PACEs Burst Study
(A CIRCA Baseline Addendum, IRB Approval IRB-25-180-OFF)
✓ Do you have a child between 3 and 4 years old?
✓ Help advance science and earn up to $390 if you are eligible and willing to complete all parts of the study
✓ We want to know how parents’ daily experiences influence their children’s socioemotional and brain development.
➢ You will enroll in the CIRCA Baseline study by filling out online surveys (90 min)
➢ You will also complete:
- PACEs Burst Baseline Survey (40–60 min)
- 60-min Zoom call (with your child)
- 30-day daily short surveys on your phone (5 min daily)
- Surveys and a Zoom call (60-min) one year later
- Your child will join both Zoom calls with you
➢ You and your child may be eligible to both wear wrist watches for 30 days and receive additional compensation
➢ You and your child can opt in to join an in-person lab visit to learn about the brain and receive additional compensation
Momentary Assessment of Parenting and Child Self-regulation (MAPS) Project
Mothers with children ages 0–6 can earn up to $140 in Walmart Gift Cards
This study is about how parents’ stress are linked to the way they interact with their children. The study lasts 7 days.
You will complete:
- A 3-min screen survey
- A 30-min baseline survey
- A 20-min initial lab visit
- Eight 2-minute-long surveys every day for 7 days
- Wearing a recording device for a few hours daily for 7 days (you can stop it any time)
- Wearing a data collection watch for 7 days
