Concert Chorale

Concert Chorale is an auditioned mixed ensemble of approximately 40 singers. Composed of various majors throughout the university community, it is the premier large choral ensemble at Oklahoma State University. Concert Chorale presents several concerts each year, records for music publishers, and hosts guest conductors and composers. Past guests include composers Sydney Guillaume, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Morten Lauridsen, Ola Gjeilo, and Jake Runestad. Concert Chorale has performed with international artists such as Hugh Jackman, Sarah Coburn, & Leona Mitchell and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the New York Philharmonic.

Concert Chorale has performed at the Southwest Division of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and the National ACDA conference. The ensemble has toured France, England, Italy, Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic, where they performed in some of Europe’s most prestigious venues. Chorale joins with other OSU choral ensembles to perform major works with orchestra each year. In the spring of 2027, Chorale will join with OSU choral ensembles and the OSU Orchestra to perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem in D-minorfor the OSU President’s Masterworks Concert.

Concert Chorale tours to Germany in May 2027 to compete in the Johannes Brahms International Choral Competition, with concerts in Heidelberg, Wartburg, and Leipzig.
