
Andrew Doust
Faculty Fellow for Instructional Excellence
Andrew Doust received his Bachelor of Science with Honors from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Secondary School Teaching from the University of New England and a Ph.D. in Botany from the University of Melbourne. After his Ph.D. he was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and the University of Florida.
He started at Oklahoma State Department in the (then) Department of Botany in 2007, and was head of the department (now Plant Biology, Ecology, and Evolution) from 2017 to 2021, and Associate Dean of Academic Programs in the College from 2021 to 2025. He is now the Puterbaugh Foundation Faculty Fellow for Instructional Excellence, focusing on supporting faculty teaching and development of responses to the opportunities and challenges of AI.
